Exercises

task_alt Prove it to myself with the smallest possible action

Guide: I set a tiny, doable action for today (e.g., tidy a single sheet of paper, send an important email, take a 5-minute walk) and I do it without postponing. The key isn’t the size of the action, but doing it no matter what—to prove to my brain that I keep promises to myself.
  • I turn intention into a concrete act, even a tiny one.
  • I show my brain that I can rely on myself.
  • I create a virtuous cycle of completed actions.

edit_note The small-wins journal

Guide: Each evening, I write down three things I managed to do today, even if they seem minor. Rereading these wins reminds me that I’m progressing daily and feeds my confidence with facts.
  • I develop an objective view of my real progress.
  • I become aware of everything I accomplish.
  • I build a body of evidence to counter inner doubt.

forum Practice active self-compassion

Guide: I notice how I talk to myself when I make a mistake or feel doubt. I rephrase every inner criticism as if speaking to a dear friend—with kindness, encouragement, and clarity.
  • I break the vicious circle of self-devaluation.
  • I allow myself to grow without harsh perfectionism.
  • I nourish confidence by treating myself with respect.

bolt Voluntarily face a small discomfort

Guide: Once a week, I choose an action that makes me slightly uncomfortable (e.g., ask a question in public, request information, share a project with someone close) and I force myself to do it. The goal isn’t perfect success, but simply daring to act.
  • I befriend discomfort instead of fleeing it.
  • I strengthen my ability to face the unknown.
  • I discover that action reduces fear more than thinking does.

visibility Visualize my confident self

Guide: I close my eyes and vividly imagine the version of me who acts with confidence—upright posture, steady gaze, calm voice. I observe how that version would handle the situation blocking me and let that attitude sink in.
  • I develop an inner model of success.
  • I make it easier to anchor new behaviors.
  • I start acting “as if” I already had confidence.

rate_review Debrief after every action

Guide: After every new or difficult experience, I take a few minutes to objectively analyze what went well, what could be improved, and what I learned. I write these points in a dedicated notebook.
  • I avoid judging myself solely on the outcome.
  • I value learning over raw performance.
  • I cultivate steady, measurable progress.

groups Surround myself with inspiring people

Guide: I review the people around me. I choose to spend more time with those who lift me up, encourage me, respect me, and believe in my abilities. I observe how their energy influences my self-perception.
  • I boost my self-esteem through a positive mirror effect.
  • I get support to step out of my zones of doubt.
  • I grow my confidence in a constructive environment.

By practicing these exercises regularly, I build solid self-confidence grounded in concrete proof, real actions, and a calmer inner dialogue.
